History’s Hidden Women of Tarot with Cat Willett

By November 6, 2024

Calling all Tarot history nerds: this one’s for you! 🤩

If you aren’t following her already, I’m thrilled to introduce you to the brilliant Cat Willett, a Brooklyn-based artist and writer.

Cat is fascinated by Tarot as a facet of art history and the women behind its evolution.

In fact, she’s dedicated the last few years to telling their magical stories in her published books: The Queen of Wands: The Story of Pamela Colman Smith, the Artist Behind the Rider-Waite Tarot Deck, and Women of Tarot, An Illustrated History of Divinators, Card Readers, and Mystics.

Here's What I Cover In This Video

In this video, Cat and I dive into the shadows of Tarot’s history to reveal the little-known women who kept the movement going.

Tune in for:

  • [1:08] Where Cat’s fascination with Tarot and Pamela Colman Smith began
  • [6:30] Lesser-known secrets about Pamela Colman Smith
  • [11:14] Who the hidden women of Tarot are, and how Cat discovered them
